OMUT UNIT TRUSTS PRODUCTS
A.INVESTOR’S UNDERTAKING:
By proceeding with this transaction, you agree to be bound by the following business conditions governing the Old Mutual Investment Group Zimbabwe Private Limited’s (OMIGZIM) Unit Trusts products and services. B. BUSINESS CONDITIONS:
• You agree to the number of units sold to you by virtue of this application and you warrant that you have full power to enter into and conclude this transaction, with the necessary assistance where such is a legal requirement.
• You are aware that the value date on your investment will be the next working day following the crediting of your funds in our designated bank account.
• You know that the cost of buying units includes an initial charge where applicable, an annual management fee and tax on certain components.
• You are aware that proceeds of withdrawals will only be paid into a bank account in your name for which verifiable proof has been submitted to OMIGZIM.
• You are aware that the minimum investment period is 180 days for the Property and Gold Funds and 30 days for all other funds.
• You are aware that past performance is not indicative of future performance.
• You are aware that it may take up to 14 days to withdraw your funds depending on prevailing market conditions.
• You are aware that applicable taxes may be charged when withdrawing funds.
• You authorise OMIGZIM to act upon instructions submitted online and you indemnify OMIGZIM from any liability, loss or damages you may suffer as a result of OMIGZIM acting upon such instructions.
• You declare that you have received enough information and/or advice on the product features, risks and potential return prior to this investment.
• You acknowledge and consent that your personal information shared with OMIGZIM and other information relating to your transactions and your use of our products and services can be used by OMIGZIM or its agents and other companies within the Old Mutual Group to process applications you make, to propose and supply you with other products that the Old Mutual Group offers and for credit assessment, customer service, market research, behavioural scoring, product analysis, insurance, audit and administrative purposes. In addition, the information can also be disclosed to regulators or government agencies upon request for compliance purposes.
• You have fully understood the inherent risks identified below and how these may impact negatively the performance of this investment over its life and will not hold OMIGZIM, its affiliates, directors and employees responsible for any loss in value of your investment as a result of the risks outlined below.
RISK FACTORS:
You understand that the following are the key identifiable risks inherent with investing in this product which may impact negatively on the performance of this investment over its life and agree to indemnify OMIGZIM its affiliates, directors and employees and keep them indemnified from any losses arising from or caused by these inherent risks.
C. POLITICALLY EXPOSED PERSONS:
Definition: A politically exposed person is an individual who is or has, at any time in the preceding year been entrusted with a prominent function.

- What is a politically exposed person?
A politically exposed person is an individual who is or has, at any time in the preceding year been entrusted with a prominent public function and include the following persons”
• Heads of state, heads of government, ministers and deputy or ministers
• Members of parliament
• Members of courts and auditors or the boards of the central bank
• Ambassadors and high-ranking officers in the armed forces
• Members of the administrative, management or supervisory bodies of state-owned enterprises - What is immediate family or close associates of a politically exposed person?
A politically exposed person also includes an immediate member or a known close associate of such a person. Immediate family members and close associates in this instance refer to the following person(s):
• A spouse
• Parents
• Any individual who is known to have joint ownership of legal arrangement, or any such close business relations with a person entrusted with a prominent public function.
D. YOUR TAX INFORMATION:
• You will notify OMIGZIM if you are a resident of the United States of America or any other country for tax purposes immediately after concluding this transaction.
NOTES
• As a financial services company, we must comply with agreements signed by our government, in terms of which tax information is shared with tax authorities in other countries. We are asking you for your tax residency and tax reference numbers if you are a resident in the United States of America and any other country and this will be recorded in our records and we will only disclose this information to the relevant tax authorities when required to do so.
• Your tax residence is generally the country in which you live for more than half of any year and which you pay tax. Special circumstances (such as studying or working outside of your country or extended travel) may cause you to be resident elsewhere or resident in more than one country at the same time (dual residency). If you are a US citizen or holds a US passport or a green card, you will be considered tax resident in the US, unless you have given up your citizenship.
• Nationality is usually detailed in your passport.
