The process at an Old Mutual Assessment Centre is designed with the customer in mind:

- The claim registration process is made easier for you; you just need to drive your accident-damaged vehicle to the assessment centre or have it towed there. - Vehicle pre-inspections, valuations, and checking of the general condition of new vehicles coming in to be insured or for renewals with upgrades in value will be done here, and this will give you our customers an opportunity to get upfront advice on the sum insured and avoid prejudice in the event of a loss when underinsured or overinsured.

Yes. As part of our claim requirements, you are expected to nominate at least 3 repairers to quote on the damages. Two of the panel beaters should be selected from a preferred list that will be presented to you at the assessment centre. The third panel beater can be an independent choice. Kindly take note that you have the prerogative to nominate a panel beater of your choice, provided costs are equal to or lower than the assessment centre costs.
Yes. All accidents involving the insured vehicle must be reported to us. Should you opt to have your claim processed by 3rd party insurers, you must comply with their specific claim requirements, including inspection of damages by their loss adjuster.
Our motor assessment centres in Harare & Bulawayo are manned by qualified and experienced assessors who will be able to inspect your vehicle and advise on its correct market value. You have an option to take your vehicle to Road Angels for inspection and determination of Market value in Harare. You also have the option to approach reputable second-hand vehicle dealers who employ qualified valuers for their opinion on market value.

Our assessment centre is a standard building with a roof and lockable doors. It is protected by an alarm system, CCTV, perimeter wall, electric fence, and gate. It is manned by security guards 24 hours a day.
Our vehicle assessment centres’ main purpose is to register vehicle claims, inspect damages, source repair quotations, and authorise repairs.
