At Old Mutual Corporate offers a variety of investment funds to choose from.
Old Mutual Guaranteed Fund
This is a deposit administration fund, pooled investment vehicle involving many funds, which guarantees the capital paid into the Fund. The Guaranteed Fund is to yield secure, smoothed out and real returns in the long term. This investment vehicle is especially suitable for schemes and members that can ill afford the risk of fluctuating asset values.
Contributions paid into the fund are credited with a bonus determined at the end of each month taking into account the performance of the underlying assets during that month and the expectations of smoothed returns. Once the interest is credited it is guaranteed.
Old Mutual Market Linked Funds
This is a pooled investment vehicle involving different clients. The portfolio is diversified to include property, equity, the money market and fixed interest bonds and other approved assets.
Individual client contributions paid into the fund purchase units from the pool. At any given time the fund balance of a client’s fund is the total value of the units participating in the pool at that point.
Old Mutual Special Fund
The product is similar to the market-linked fund and does not provide capital guarantees. It is designed to cater for clients that do not wish to participate in pooled investments. The client is the sole participant in this type of Fund, for example purchasing a property for the sole benefit of the investing Pension Fund.
Old Mutual Managed Fund
Operates along the lines of the special fund with the exception that the assets are registered in the name of the client.
Old Mutual Multi Manager Fund
This product allows the clients to choose to place investments with asset managers outside the Old Mutual group. Currently there is a choice from six prominent asset managers that have a proven governance and investment performance track record.
The list of asset managers includes an arm of Old Mutual, the Old Mutual Investments Group. The list of approved asset managers is reviewed on an ongoing basis and as we identify other suitable asset managers to participate in the product. Investments can be made into pooled funds or on a segregated or stand alone basis.
Old Mutual Market Linked Fund
